By Neil Foster, 30th June 2010. Duncan Stewart – Climate Change Pimp: ”This is a green square and don’t believe anyone who tells you it’s a pink circle. That’s disinfo and confusing!” Last night I was compelled to watch the much advertised and hyped Duncan Stewart Scary Story Spoof ‘A Burning Question’. This was the worst [...]
A new United Nations report released on Tuesday calls for abandoning the U.S. dollar as the main global reserve currency, saying it has been unable to safeguard value.
But several European officials attending a high-level meeting of the U.N. Economic and Social Council countered by saying that the market, not politicians, would determine what currencies countries would keep on hand for reserves.
“The dollar has proved not to be a stable store of value, which is a requisite for a stable reserve currency,” the U.N. World Economic and Social Survey 2010 said.
The report says that developing countries have been hit by the U.S. dollar’s loss of value in recent years.
Klimaskeptik.cz, a Czech climate skeptic blog, has posted today an interesting article “Judithgate: The IPCC was only one Solar Physicist” (google rough translation). Her name is Judith Lean (photo at right). On the basis of this “consensus of one” solar physicist, the IPCC proclaimed solar influences upon the climate to be minimal.

NaturalNews) Hundreds of kangaroos have been euthanized due to acute fluoride poisoning in the Australian state of Victoria, the country’s Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has announced.
The poisonings appear to be occurring due to emissions of fluoride from the Alcoa aluminum smelter at Portland and the Austral Bricks factory at Craigieburn, the state’s first and second biggest emitters of fluoride dust, respectively. According to Bruce Dawson of the EPA, the toxic chemical is being absorbed by nearby plants that kangaroos and other animals forage on. The animals may also be breathing in the chemical directly.

By Neil Foster, 29th June 2010. While the White House is celebrating the new financial reform bill, Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute says that nothing has really changed. Banks are still divided into “too big to fail” or “too small to save;” people are still being encouraged to spend rather than save. Celente says that the only thing that keeps the US from putting in austerity measures as has been done in most of Europe is that the US can print more money.
Anarchist provocateurs took to the streets in mass on Saturday, starting fires and smashing windows in a scene reminiscent of past protests in Pittsburgh and London. During the violence, the so called, “Black Bloc,” was left to run freely through the streets, terrorizing peaceful protesters and property alike. Later, frustrated that the police let the Black Bloc run free, people were seen intimidating entire lines of riot police and on one occasion actually pushed the entire police line back. Unmarked snatch and grabs have taken place on several occasions.
